Veer Hamirji - Somanath Ni Sakhate (2012)

The film is written by Sri Deven Shah and directed by Nilesh Mohite, and is based on the literary works of Sri Zaverchand Meghani, Kalapi, Sri Jaymal Parmar, and Deepak Vyas. The film "Veer Hamirji" is based on the true story of 'Hamirji Gohil,' a brave warrior who fought and died to rescue the famous Somnath Temple. The Gohil samaj of Saurashtra is named after Hamirji Gohil, a Rajput legend ( like Shivaji in Maharashtra). In front of the Somnath temple in Veraval, Gujarat, there is also a monument dedicated to him. Maulik Pathak, Shivalika Kataria, Pramthes Mehta, Linesh Phanse, Sonya Shah, and Chetan Doshi are among the cast members of the film.
