The Forest (2012)

A childless Delhi couple whose marriage is in shambles travels to a tranquil forest retreat in the hopes of resolving their tumultuous relationship away from the spotlight. The desolate property is smack dab in the middle of a vast, thick forest, rife with predators, both human and animal. So, instead of harmony and tranquilly, Radha (Nandana Sen) and Pritam (Ankur Vikal) find themselves in the middle of their worst nightmare. As Radha's old flame, Abhishek (Javed Jaffrey), who is now a forest cop living in the wilderness with his motherless son Arjun (Salim Ali Zaidi), returns to destabilise her already precarious equations with her husband, demons of the mind and festering wounds of the heart are exacerbated. And lurking in this nook of the woods is an embodiment of much greater danger: an injured leopard on the prowl for the jungle's most endangered creatures. The hungry beast hunts for survival, but the human predators here don't need much provocation to unleash the ruthless streak that runs through their scarred hearts.
