Shasan (2016)

Political drama Shasan is framed by a shuttered factory. The central conflict of the novel is how everyone involved becomes enmeshed in the political game that is being played. A young union leader who is just starting out takes advantage of the circumstance to realise his dream of becoming a powerful politician. He is assisted by a bureaucrat who is engaged in personal conflict but eventually loses hope. A young news reporter makes the decision to investigate this and learns that a mafia boss is in charge. This comes with a steep price for the reporter and her editor. The state's legislative body and individuals in high positions became involved as a result of the issues' rapid escalation.
