Machiwarla Budha (2017)

The film follows the life of a guy in his 50s who leaves his urban lifestyle behind in order to return to Rajmachi, the setting of the Gopal Nilkanth Dandekar novel Machiwala Budha. It's a rugged, steep location in the Western Ghats with no signs of human habitation. He is cut off from the worldly world and finds love and comfort in the midst of nature. He can communicate with the local plants and fauna thanks to his affinity to nature. Over time, he comes to terms with nature's altruism and feels grateful for the life he is leading. He enjoys each and every minute while spreading a magnificent message about the wonderful bond between people and the natural world.
