Kaalo (2010)

Witchcraft/witchery was widely practised hundreds of years ago in Europe, Africa, and Asia. Between the 11th and 19th centuries, an estimated 9 million (90 lac) women accused of being witches with supernatural abilities were mercilessly murdered in these areas. Many cases of witchcraft and witch-hunts occurred in India's eastern and northern regions. Every one of these occurrences had a backstory. The story of Kaalo is based on a folktale about a witch called Kaalo.
