The film is on the sensitive issue of the girl child's place in society. Raj and Ahuti are married and hoping to start a family. Raj desires a boy child to carry on his business, whilst Ahuti desires a girl child. The couple is later blessed with a daughter. Is Raj going to be able to reconcile with his daughter? Will their daughter be able to demonstrate that she is a true boy?
