Chinar Daastaan-E-Ishq (2015)

Chinar is a romantic film set in Kashmir that depicts the romance of the 1970s and 1980s. Jheel Jalti Hai is a Kashmiri novel that inspired the film. Jamaal and Suraiya are childhood pals who have fallen in love. Suraiya's uncle marries her to Salaam, a wealthy old man, in the hopes of a better future for both of them. Salaam assassinates Jamaal's mother for declaring that Suraiya is her son's property. Jamaal, enraged, seeks vengeance and brutally murders Salaam, refusing to forgive Suraiya for deceiving him. Can their unbreakable bond withstand the test of time?
